Installed the backup camera and new l icense plate frame (I bought a bunch of Mazda accessories from an old guy that recently and reluctantly sold his Copper Red Mica NC Miata). I thought that you could reverse the image in software but that wasn’t the case so I had to flip the camera back over. I buttoned everything up and got no image and had to remove the b back panel to plug the camera back in. Oops. Then there was some rattling in the hatch and I had to open it again to retrieve a fastener that fell out of its holder. The camera wire goes up through the opening for the plate light and it doesn’t allow the bulb holder to snap in fully, but I’ll worry about that later.
It was a pretty easy install, all things considered. After my experience at the junkyard today, dealing with rusty bolts and potentially screwing up my ratchet, I needed a win.
